Anantara Santorini 5*, Abu Dhabi (UAE)

A Peaceful Escape That Feels Like Another World

Staying at Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi felt deeply personal, almost like discovering a hidden retreat designed purely for slowing down. Inspired by the elegance of the Greek islands, the resort instantly transports you far from everyday life, even though you’re still in Abu Dhabi. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, soft, and intentionally unhurried.
This is the kind of place where time gently fades into the background.

A Setting Made for Stillness

The whitewashed architecture, open spaces, and uninterrupted views over the water create an atmosphere of complete serenity. Every detail feels light and airy, from the color palette to the way the spaces flow naturally into one another.
Walking through the resort felt peaceful and grounding, as if the world outside had been turned down to a whisper.

Rooms That Feel Like a Private Retreat

The room felt less like a hotel room and more like a sanctuary. Minimal yet warm, beautifully designed and incredibly calming, it was a space I genuinely enjoyed spending time in. Mornings were slow and quiet, and evenings felt restful and intimate.
There’s a sense of privacy throughout the resort that makes everything feel personal and unintrusive, allowing you to truly settle in.

Infinity Pool, Beach Moments, and Pure Calm

One of the most memorable parts of the stay was the infinity pool, seamlessly blending into the horizon and creating the illusion of floating between sky and sea. Spending time there felt almost meditative, especially during the quieter hours of the day when everything felt still and effortless.
Being so close to the water added another layer to the experience. Whether relaxing by the pool, walking along the shoreline, or simply watching the light change throughout the day, everything encouraged presence and calm. Sunset moments here were especially beautiful, soft, and unforgettable.

Dining as Part of the Experience

Dining at Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi felt thoughtful and unhurried, perfectly matching the overall mood of the resort. Each restaurant offers its own atmosphere, from relaxed daytime settings to more refined evening experiences, all centered around fresh flavors and beautiful presentation.

Oia Oasis

One of the most memorable meal experiences at Anantara Santorini was dining at Oia Oasis, an elegant waterside restaurant perched near the pool and open from breakfast through dinner. Here, the cuisine celebrates the rich flavours of Arabic and Gulf-inspired dishes in a relaxed yet refined setting. Mornings began beautifully with a freshly prepared breakfast and a coffee as the sun rose over the sea, and lunch and dinner felt vibrant and satisfying, with mezze, grills, seafood, and regional favourites that felt both comforting and adventurous. The combination of aromatic spices, coastal breeze, and attentive service made every meal at Oia Oasis feel like a special part of the day.

Thalassa

Another standout dining experience was Thalassa, where Mediterranean influences are front and centre. With a menu that draws on the fresh flavours of the Aegean and Southern Europe, this restaurant offers beautifully composed dishes featuring fresh seafood, vibrant salads, and expertly grilled mains in a sophisticated, sunset-lit setting. Dining at Thalassa felt like a journey along the Mediterranean coast — light, balanced, and rich with fresh ingredients — and as evening light faded into night, the ambience became even more magical, with soft views of the water enhancing every bite.

A Private Cinema and Quiet Evenings

One detail that truly stood out was the private cinema, a unique and intimate space that added another layer of comfort to the stay. It was the perfect option for quiet evenings, offering a cozy and unexpected way to unwind without leaving the resort. I savoured my dessert while watching my favorite james bond movie. It’s these thoughtful touches that make the experience feel curated rather than standard.

A Stay That Stays With You

What made Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi special for me wasn’t just the design or the luxury, but the way it made me feel. Calm, present, and deeply relaxed.
It’s a place for reflection, for stillness, and for reconnecting with yourself. Long after leaving, the sense of peace lingers.

“Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi isn’t about doing more.

It’s about doing less, beautifully.

For me, it was more than a stay, it was a feeling I’ll always remember.”
